Welcome to the second Richmond Horse Trials of 2017. After the success of our event in May we look forward to welcoming you all to the forthcoming event.

All of Richmond's four cross country tracks have again been updated and refreshed by our talented team of course designer and builder, Jamie Innes and Moray Nicholson. The new water complex is well bedded in with it continuing to be developed. May 2017 saw a new bank complex and all competitors bar the BE90 riders will run over it at this event. A brand new road crossing has been built for the September event which further enhances the course and adds a new dimension for all competitors.

All the courses are designed to educate and encourage the novice horse and rider.  The show jumping is run on an all-weather surface, please note that studs MUST BE REMOVED for this phase of the competition.

We are thrilled to run three prestigious classes at the September event alongside our busy timetable. We are fortunate to hold one of the Mitsubishi Motors Grassroots BE100 qualifiers which sees the very best of the BE100 competitors battle it out for a place at the Badminton Grassroots final to be held in May 2018. We have also been awarded the KBIS 4 and 5 year old qualifiers which will run on Saturday 2nd September. These classes attract a wealth of exciting young horses aiming at the final at the Osberton Young Horse Championships held at the beginning of October.

We will be using the same live scoring system at both our events, not only in real time at the events, but via the EventScoresLive.com site, so all your connections can keep track of you in real time.

We are extremely grateful to our army of volunteers without whom it would not be possible to run the events to such a high standard.  We are always looking for people with or without equestrian experience to join our team.  Please get in touch if you feel you can help.

At our September Event we will have An Eventful Life – who will be placing approximately 30 cameras around the cross-country course in order to produce bespoke cross-country videos of your round.  Thanks to their generosity, winners of each section will receive a free video of their round, while all competitors will be able to purchase videos on-line.

Nick Gill will be our on-site photographer and you will be able to purchase photographs on the day of you and your horse in action.

We offer rosettes to 10th place in each class and prize money will be paid via BACS to all prizewinners.  Please note that there is a limited time in which you can return the form to us to claim your prize money.  For our September event this will be 3rd October 2017.
